No card details on the site. Every order is quoted by a person, so we ask for your full shipping address and contact details up front — the destination decides the packing, freight and any taxes we have to include. You only pay — by Zelle — once you've seen the price and agreed to it.

Sourced, not resold
Every doll comes from an artisan workshop in Tamil Nadu.
We buy directly from families in Panruti, Thanjavur, Villianur and Kanchipuram, and from brass casters in Kumbakonam. The clay is still hand-moulded, the faces still hand-lined, and the lamps still turned on a lathe.
Each order is packed piece by piece in cotton wadding and double-walled cartons, then shipped internationally with tracking. Fragile scene sets travel in custom-cut foam.

Questions we hear most
Can I order from outside India?
Yes — that is who we are built for. We ship to homes across North America, Europe, the Gulf, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Add pieces to your cart, send the quote request with your address, and we reply with everything itemised.
Why do you need my address and contact details before quoting?
Because the total depends on where the parcel goes. Your full delivery address tells us the packing, weight bracket, freight route and any taxes that apply, and your phone and email let us reach you if a piece is out of stock or a delivery question comes up. Without those details we can only guess, and we would rather quote you an accurate figure.
Why don't the products show fixed prices?
Each doll is hand-made, so cost varies with size, weight and availability, and freight differs enormously by destination. Rather than pad a single price for everyone, we quote your exact basket and route.
How long does shipping take?
Air freight typically reaches most destinations in 7–14 working days after dispatch; sea freight for larger padi orders takes 5–8 weeks. During the weeks before Navarathri, workshops run at capacity, so order early.
What about customs and import duties?
Duties, taxes and any customs handling fees in your country are payable by you and are not included in our quote. We declare goods honestly as handicrafts and include a full invoice with the shipment.
What is Navarathri Golu?
Golu is the Indian practice of arranging dolls on an odd number of tiered steps — the padi — during the nine nights of Navarathri. Families invite friends over, sing, and exchange sundal and thamboolam.
What materials are the dolls made from?
Mostly terracotta and painted clay, plus papier-mâché, carved rosewood, and cast brass for lamps and ritual pieces. Paints are traditional pigment-based finishes; we note the exact material on every product.
Can I request something custom?
Often, yes. Custom sizes, repainted colour schemes, name-plates and complete themed sets can be commissioned. Add a note in the quote form and we'll tell you what's feasible and how long it will take.
How do I pay?
By Zelle, only after you have seen and accepted the quote. Send the amount to the Zelle details on your quote, then enter the transaction ID when you confirm. We match the payment on our side and only then begin packing — no card details are ever entered on this site.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Freely, until you confirm the quote and pay — nothing is charged before that. If you're signed in you can also adjust quantities on a quote and send it back for a fresh price. After payment, changes are possible while the order is still being packed; commissioned custom work cannot be cancelled once started.
